Basement flood protection for Windsor-Essex homes

Basement water usually comes from one of two places: sewer backups through the floor drain, or seepage through walls and cracks. They need different fixes. Here's how to tell which one you have, and how we help stop it.

How we help prevent basement flooding

  1. Work out your problem. Backup, seepage, or both? At a free site visit, we look for signs of seepage and explain what's causing it.
  2. Stop seepage from the outside. We dig to the footing, clean the wall, apply Blueskin membrane and Platon dimple board, then backfill and grade away from the house. Our waterproofing process →
  3. Repair cracks, from interior injection to exterior digs. Crack repair →
  4. Fix the drainage: weeping tile replacement, window wells and grading so water moves away from the foundation.
  5. Disconnect and extend downspouts, and make sure the ground slopes away from the house.
  6. For sewer backups, a licensed plumber installs devices like a backwater valve.
