Foundation waterproofing and masonry in McGregor

McGregor is a short drive from our Amherstburg base, and we've worked for McGregor homeowners before. McGregor is unusual: the community is split between the Town of Amherstburg and the Town of Essex, with Essex taking in the eastern part (County of Essex). The two towns even co-own Co-An Park, and the community's sewage system is run by Amherstburg.

How we protect McGregor basements

Water that comes through foundation walls and cracks is seepage, and it's fixed from the outside. Here's what we do:

  • Exterior waterproofing: we dig to the footing, clean the wall, apply Blueskin membrane and Platon dimple board, then backfill and grade away from the house.
  • Drainage: weeping tile replacement, window wells and grading so water moves away from the foundation.
  • Crack repair: from interior injection to exterior digs.

Sewer backups through the floor drain are a different problem, handled by a licensed plumber with devices like backwater valves. At a free site visit, we'll tell you honestly whether you likely need waterproofing, a plumber, or both.
