Foundation waterproofing and masonry in Tecumseh
Tecumseh homeowners have seen more than their share of heavy rain. In July 2026, the Town reported 74 mm of rain in two hours, and up to 105 mm in some areas (CBC News). We serve Tecumseh and Oldcastle.
How we protect Tecumseh basements
Water that comes through foundation walls and cracks is seepage, and it's fixed from the outside. Here's what we do:
- Exterior waterproofing: we dig to the footing, clean the wall, apply Blueskin membrane and Platon dimple board, then backfill and grade away from the house.
- Drainage: weeping tile replacement, window wells and grading so water moves away from the foundation.
- Crack repair: from interior injection to exterior digs.
Sewer backups through the floor drain are a different problem, handled by a licensed plumber with devices like backwater valves. At a free site visit, we'll tell you honestly whether you likely need waterproofing, a plumber, or both.
Two problems, two fixes
If your floor drain backed up during a storm, a backwater valve is the fix, and the Town helps pay for it. If water came through the walls or cracks, that's seepage, and exterior waterproofing or crack repair is the fix. If you're not sure which happened, we'll help you work it out at the site visit.
